The MoonSwatch 1965 marks a milestone in the collection. Named for the year NASA certified the Speedmaster for all manned space missions, this edition drops the planet-themed branding entirely and focuses on heritage. The black Bioceramic case is paired with red "Flight Qualified" chronograph hands — a nod to the experimental Speedmaster prototypes OMEGA developed for NASA in the 1960s — and a commemorative "1965" engraving on the caseback.

Released in February 2025, the 1965 was the first MoonSwatch to carry a date-based name rather than a planetary mission. It signals a shift in the collection — from playful space tributes toward serious horological heritage. For collectors, it sits alongside the Snoopy editions as one of the models that elevated the MoonSwatch beyond a novelty collaboration.
